With QSRs having upwards of 70% of transactions at drive thru, digital menu boards (DMBs) are becoming a when, not if. McDonald’s reached near complete system rollout of drive thru DMBs in early 2020, and RBI’s brands (Burger King, Tim Horton’s and Popeyes) will be the next to achieve scale. With this large, deployed footprint, brands are investing heavily in drive thru menu board experience, and McDonald’s already has “pay with stored card” functionality for drive thru transactions. Drive thru DMBs provide a unique opportunity to affect the highest proportion of your guests, arguably making this your most important digital channel – it is not just a menu. Achieving success with digital menu boards requires collaboration across customer experience, merchandising, technology and data. This session will help you understand the value proposition for digital menu boards – for both your brand and your customers – and get you started on a path that will set your organization up for success.
